Marbling is a method of aqueous surface design, which can produce patterns similar to smooth marble or other kinds of stone. The patterns are the result of color floated on either water and then carefully transferred to an absorbent surface, such as paper or fabric.Today, we will be experimenting with a a variety of objects!
We will begin will paper to get the technique down. Once comfortable with the technique, we will create a set of 4 note cards, marble a paper mache ornament, a coffee mug, and then experiment with glass items and more! Children are encouraged to bring an item from home to marble, size must be smaller than a coffee mug. It could be a rock, a play figurine, a pen, jewelry, etc!
All supplies and instruction included. A variety of paint colors available, gloves and aprons provided. Objects can up to 30 mins to dry, If items are not dry by the end of the class, you may leave the artwork and to arrange to pick up at a later time or date.
Recommended for children ages 7-18. Drop-off is allowed, please come early to fill out an emergency contact form. Pre-registration is recommended to reserve a seat.
