FAMILY ART NIGHT - ACTION PAINTING

FAMILY ART NIGHT - ACTION PAINTING
35.00

Get the family together for an interactive paint experience! Every last Friday of the month we will have a Family Art Night and this month is Action Painting inspired by Jackson Pollock. We will first practice on paper to try out different tools for this method of painting: a cup, a large popsicle stick, yarn or a paint brush. Then, together as a family, choose up to 5 paint colors, tools of our choice, and “PAINT”!

This is a family price and includes instruction, paint, paint tools, and the 24”x36” canvas panel.

We are anticipating a good crowd for this fun, interactive paint workshop. Multiple time slots are available to sign up for, we can only accommodate 3 families per time slot. Please arrive 5 mins early to check in. Workshop will last approximately 30 mins. We recommend wearing old clothes and shoes, you will likely get paint on yourself! Aprons available. You may work in socks to avoid shoes getting paint covered. Canvases will be wet and will need 24-48 hours to dry. You may leave your canvas to dry and pick up at a later date.

DREAM CATCHER DECOR

Dream Catcher Decor
20.00

In Native American cultures, dream catchers are a sacred item and protect you when hung at your bed. The shape of the dreamcatcher is a circle because it represents the circle of life and how forces like the sun and moon travel each day and night across the sky. The dream catcher web catches the bad dreams during the night and dispose of them when the day comes. This modern interpretation can match any decor using color and texture.

The first half of the class you will learn how to make Yarn Feathers and Yarn Pom Poms. With these handmade feathers and pom poms, you will craft a dream catcher on a 6” wood hoop. A variety of additional craft supplies will be available from colorful yarns, feathers, beads and more.

Recommended for ages 10+. This is a fun class for a girls night out or to craft with your daughter. Pre-registration is recommended as we are limited to 12 seats for this workshop. Walk-ins available based on seats available.

In this artistic exploration of Paint Pouring, kids use tempera paints to create abstract art of their own!
