Have you ever wanted to learn how to draw portraits of people? This is a great beginner class for you! Our instructor Mark will show us how he draws step by step, walking us through his preferred tools to use, showing us a methodical way to begin a portrait, and teaching techniques in detail and shading. During the class you will work on drawing a portrait from a photo, practicing the methods and techniques taught in the class.
Please bring a photo of an adult person you want to draw. This photo needs to be of an adult and a straight-on view for consistent instruction in the class. One sheet of 11”x14” Strathmore 400 Series drawing paper will be provided. The following supplies will be available to use in class but feel free to bring your own: additional sketch paper, a blending stump, pencil sharpeners, and 3 pencils: 2H, HB, and 2B.
Project will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
All workshop and event purchases are non-refundable. In the case where you can not attend, please contact us. Many of our workshops and events have wait lists and we are happy to give you a store credit if someone on the wait list can attend in your place.
Thank you for supporting your local artists and local shops, see you soon!
